Epson Return Policy

Quality at Epson is highly guaranteed. Its products come with a 30 day return for exchange or credit policy. This applies to purchases that are made directly from Epson's store and that do not satisfy the customer. However, there are special cases that are exempted from the policy.

One of them, is off course a case in which the returned goods are damaged or effective on the day they are returned. This is because such products cannot be restocked to be resold. There are also products which cannot enjoy the return policy. These include software downloads, opened items like software, closeout and refurbished products, projector lamp bulbs, paper or media packs, toner cartridges, cables and adapters.

Return instructions

For the policy to apply, the returned product should be new and in the original package that it was purchased in. All the accompaniment and accessories that it was purchased with should also be returned along with it. If the product is in any way damaged or incomplete, you will be liable to give Epson a 10% service charge that will be billed directly from your credit card.

To request for a return, you will need to have an authorization number and to follow the return instructions. There are two ways in which you can do this: You can either make a request online or call them from Monday to Friday between 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Saturday between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.

A representative will give you instructions which you will be required to follow for a successful return. To ensure that the package is delivered safely, return it within 7 days to Epson facility in Indiana, through a prepaid method that is ensured and traceable. Epson will not be liable for any damaged or lost goods during the transit period.

Epson printer used to be good.
Now they are trash.
A printer purchased 5 months ago will not recognize the printer cartridges and the technical support is telling me the cartridges are bad even though I've tried multiple new Epson cartridges.
Technical support is garbage.

Never will buy any of your products again. You rip people off with low quality materials, forcing people to buy your expensive ink. If I could I drive and throw his pos on your corporate lawn. Tried for two months, not even the cable tech could figure out what is wrong.

twice I have purchased ink only to be sent the wrong one and can not use it in my printer....out $120 on ink I can not use....how do i send it back and get a refund!

Just purchased online only to realize my father had already purchased. Called at 7:30am to cancel duplicate order made at 1am. They said they could not cancel order as it was already in process. What a load of crap. I personally like their products, but customer support and policies are severely lacking in SUPPORT. Just an extension of sales.

Tried to go online to purchase ink for my F-170 sublimation printer and Epson does not sell it, just directs you to companies that are commercial companies only. I am a home crafter and I don't want to purchase large volumes of ink. What do I do?

Bought a XP 3105 a couple a weeks ago and so very sorry that I did.Will not let you print B & W when colour cartridges have run out.Awful printer and would not recommended it to anyone .Will be putting it in the bin and purchasing a HP printer as I had one prior to buying this piece of rubbish.

I bought 220 ink cartridge on accident instead of 202. They won't do an exchange on my ink so I just bought an hp printer instead screw epson.

This is the WORST company to deal with ever. Do not order or use any of there products. They do not have a return policy online and customer service is rude, rude, rude.
I think I may need to make a complaint to the ombudsmen or fairtrade people. Obviously from the comments below everybody has the same experience as me. NOT good enough Epson.

I did all of the below multiple times and my computer is never found. It shows in printers? I decided OK. I will use a portable device. A usb drive. Surprise surprise. Only JPEG ant TIFF files are supported. I doubt very much that you would be aware that those are not only outmoded, but very not so good for graphics files. Take it back or I will put I will put it on the street with a FREE sign on it but not for Mac. I decided to try to use this machine as just a copier. FAIL. Paper jam every time. So. In conclusionI - I cant connect my computer via your driver. I cant use your file formats via USB. I cant even copy on this copier. I am not going to try to set up a dedicated line when I shouldnt have to. That is an insane imposition. I have never dealt with such an intractable customer service regime in my 40 years as a professional designer. Page after page of thanking ME for contacting support. You are F...ing Welcome. Rather than shipping this piece of s..t back at my expense I will put it on the street with a caveat emptor label.

Epson's return policy includes a $1,200 hold on your credit card for a non-functional product that you have already paid for. They don't supply packaging either. I will never purchase another product from Epson and would not recommend them to anyone.

I wish I had read the reviews on this website before purchasing my printer. I am a small business owner and needed a printer that would print 11x17 in color (in addition to normal-sized documents). I've had nothing but problems since the beginning:
1) The printer sucks in too many pages at once, so it prints half of the page on one page and half on another (this happens regularly)
2) The paper constantly gets jammed
3) The print quality is terrible - prints with lines through everything, and looks like the ink bled - creates almost a shadow effect

Customer service is terrible. The person on the phone with me to "trouble shoot" is extremely rude and condescending and apparently does not know what he/she is doing. I've spent over an hour on the phone, and I'm now on hold. Who has time for this? This is a brand new printer and should not be having all these issues. I've already been told by the "trouble shooter" that no refunds are offered - only replacements. This is such a horrible way to treat small businesses.

Purchased the wf-3720 back in November. Previously had an Epson photo printer which worked great. This one not so much. Consistently goes offline so have to reboot it, sometimes once a day. Also consistently feeds 5-10 sheets of paper through when I'm trying to print 1 page. Print quality and speed are great, but when I have to take time to constantly fix the printer it's just not worth it.

wf 2850 is the worse printer ever! quality of prints is just horrible. price of ink is ridiculous, then i only got 2 picures from the cartridges! i have wasted so much money on this pos its embarrassing. of course epson wont do a refund or exvhange because i dont have the box. i just cant with epson anymore. where were these reviews before i wasted my money on this hunk of junk? guess im stuck with the loss and will be getting something reliable this time

30 days is not enough time to fight with Epson's TERRIBLE connectivity and software problems and return the POS equipment for a refund. EPSON is a scam.

False Advertising stating 2 years worth of ink in the box. Does not print to satisfaction, color copies is my main work and come out didn't shade than the original color on file, the red comes out orange the pink looks more of a red shade. Tried return told contact manufacturer when contacted Epson they refuse to give me a refund they said they DO NOT DO REFUNDS! Forcing the product on us after spending half a grand! Past dissatisfied and disgusted with the customer service on the phone. Will be taking to court as only option left. Seriously avoid purchasing Epson having in mind one day you might need customer service and theirs is not one to satisfy customers! You'd end up with a migraine and your money gone to waste.

Tons of bad reviews that I see out here!
Here comes another one!

I ordered 3 ink cartridges online by printer model number, like I always do, but received the wrong ink. I did not notice they were the wrong ones until I opened one of them and installed it next to an older one and that's when I noticed it was a different number. I tried to see if the printer would accept it anyway but it would not so I called customer service. I was told they would refund the purchase price of only two of the three cartridges and that I had to pay for shipping back to the company and then reorder. In the end, that means that I've paid for shipping three times to get my correct order that was not my fault in the first place, if in fact I receive the correct order this next time. It makes me wonder if I should even order from them again. Bad business practices!!!

Man I wish I would of seen all these reviews before I bought from Epson. I tried to order a photo printer but they sold out before they could ship it out. I was talked into buying a work force printer and was told the photo printing is equivalent to the photo printer. When I got it and started using it I found out fast that I was lied too. Contacted them for a return and was treaded like crap. There customer support is trash. Then was told I had to pay shipping back. Thought ok that shouldn't be that much but it turned out that it was about $100 to ship back. Still debating if it's worth shipping a $200 printer back to be charged $20(10%) because I used the printer. At the end I'll end up getting maybe $80 back. I will never buy from Epson again and will tell everyone to not buy Epson.

I made a mistake ordering through the web directly from Epson
I made a mistake in the item number
We ordered Ink package 702 instead of the one we needed 252 Unfortunately I realizaed the mistake after I opened the package
When I could not install the cartridge is when I realized the mistake
I called Epson twice for help
Twice I was treated in a gross and offensive manner as if I was dumb and they could not be bothered
I was informerd that since I opened the packge I was screwed
Needles to say we dumped the Epson printer as we could buy a new printer for the price of the Ink cartridges
This are difficult times and a little help would have gon a long way to help us stay in business

Absolutely Terrible. Will never purchase another Epson product. Own a WF7010, won't recognize new cartridge, can't return or replace, because they are "used". Out $150 and still cant print.

Two stores and two sales persons swore and insisted EPSON had the best printer and especially for printing pictures. My papers I am printing to send to the State Bar and Department of Justice are not printer quality. The photos are fuzzy, blurry, no clarity, no looks like pictures. I HATE I wasted my time and money on this WF-3720. Whistles and horns are artificial perks. There is no user friendly on most advanced options. It uses ink too fast. It prints blank paper often and skips a page or two during the ADF operate. ADF was a feature I need. Jamming was not. Telling me lies and not giving me pros and cons of EPSON printers is on companies. Honesty is one quality I need. Bonuses and quotas is not about the customer nor Customer Satisfaction. I AM NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. I have tried to find a good work on this printer. Even the DVD was for another model printer causing me to online set the WF-3720 up. The fax is still not working. Wireless nor manual work. I have a project I am working on needing photos printed from my PC I loaded from my cell that is due October 15, 2019. I am going to buy me a Cannon, I personally have had before and loved their pictures and print quality. I would love to send this WF3720 back to you as it is not damaged. I have taken excellent care of it and I also bought a two year post-warranty. It cannot perform in ten months, so I know two year post-warranty is also a waste of my money. Horrid printer. I bought the printer 6 months ago and now the ink cartridges are leaking into the printer. It's one of the seals that are trash. Costumer service sucks they have such a thick accent.

Bought a Epson WF 2750, I went through two sets of ink cartridges before I discovered it was the copier that was refusing to recognize their own Epson ink cartridges. Now it refuses to acknowledge any ink cartridges. Then you have to call an "800" number and pay $65 to fix my $75.00 printer that is 3 months old. What a screwed up company. Seems just like a copier scam, I wouldn't ever buy an Epson product again, EVER. Customer service is an oxymoron here.

I am going thru the same thing I had this Epson printer about a year and the only function that works on it is the scanner. I replace ink cartilage which I shouldn't had to do because I wasn't able to print anything from the start and it is still not working. A printer should not be this much trouble.

The absolute worst customer service and printer. I had an Epson 4800 that worked like a charm for years. I bought an Epson Sure Color p800 that led me to make numerous phone calls to Epson, Apple, and the large online retailer where it was purchased. After the recommended purchase of several papers and a monitor calibrator to fix the problem, the lemon barely spit out an acceptable print. I ended up sending the order to a lab. The color issue was followed by an error message that said the dvd/cd tray needed to be removed to print. This model does not have that tray. I threw in the towel and contacted Epson for a return. They wanted $800 on my credit card as a security deposit if they were going to send me a mailing label. Really? I was also informed that I would be receiving a reconditioned model. I haven't even used a third of the ink provided on my new model and have documentation of all the calls I made. Ten months, an additional $500 spent and still no working printer. Shame on you, Epson. I am no longer a customer and encourage others to give you the boot as well.

I have the same complaint about returning unused ink cartridges
I ordered 3 sets before I realized the problem was with the printer, not the cartridges I had just put in.Still trying although it sounds like I am stuck with them.
Just saw the same printer on sale at Costco for approximately $250. Shared my experience with the printer (lots of the same ones mentioned by others) with another shopper who was looking at it. They wisely passed it up.

I purchased an ET-2650 printer and 2nd year Square Trade warranty from Office Depot. Within one year printer stopped working. Office Depot says it is covered by Epson but it is impossible to figure out the return. I don't have original box and I would have to pay to ship it to Epson. Terrible business practices.

I had to return ink I bought for my Epson printer because before I got to use it I had to get a new Epson printer so the ink is no good to me. It seems like Epson does not want returns. They do everything in their power to make it a difficult experience...unlike other companies. Next printer won't be from Epson.

I wish I could get a refund for a faulty XL 220 BlLK ink cartridge. I was luck that I had purchased a backup one at the same time I purchased the faulty one. It's not that I'm a rich person and can give away money for trash. Ink Constipation was one of the reasons I came to Epsion for the individual color cartridges. Now I guess I will have to go searching again for a realalible printer and ink source.

Terrible terrible terrible. This is the worst. I ordered yesterday afternoon and this morning they are telling me that I cannot cancel. REALLY. Two phone calls. Now in 30 minutes will be call number 3. As they said I had to wait an hour. Probably so they can contact the warehouse to say it's already shipped. This is some kind of scam practice for sure. I've had to call Epson's Customer Service three times regarding the refund of a hold on my credit card while they replaced my defective Workforce 630. First I was told the refund would take 24 hours to process, then on another occasion 24-72 hours to process. What really got me though is that each time I phoned in, I believe... is the way that many corporations have gone to reduce their expenses, Epson at least train your call center staff to be a COURTEOUS. ... windows 7. I wasted many hours. Now it will not print again. I just created a document, got up early to get work done and cannot print. extremely frustrating and if I keep having problems will exchange for a different brand. Hopefully it will be resolved today and for good.
