I hate that when they see a woman they think "easy money" unfortunately my daughter, whose 26, was suckered into buying two new tires for $600. She is between jobs right now and working part-time and doesn't even make that much in a week. They've tried to do this to me but I know their game. I just wish these sales people at Discount were honest and really tried to help their customers instead of showing them the most expensive tires. When someone goes in there and knows exactly what they want they need to consider that persons situation before trying to con them into expensive tires. And stop trying to do everything possible to persuade the customer to change their mind. Stop peer pressuring customers into getting something they don't want!

Never again!! Bought tires on 6/2 and already had to take back twice. First on back left tire had "bulge" and had to order another tire. Go to leave this morning and front right tire is low!!! Would never recommend this place of business.

I just purchased 4 new tires for my car yesterday in Springfield, MO and am unhappy with my purchase. Your policy says they cannot be returned if used. I have only used them one day and have no other car to drive to your store. I have only driven less than 20 miles. I will not be buying tires from your store in the future. I am an unhappy customer! If you would consider changing your tire return policy, then I would spread that good news around my town. Thank you.

I just purchased a full set of Pathfinder AT's today and it became obvious that they are a little louder than I was hoping for. I'd love to trade them for the Pathfinder Sport S AT. Is that something I can do in the next couple of days without having to come up with more money? The manager said if O did not like them I had 30 days to return them, but the actual policy says they must not be mounted or used...soooo, what's the deal?

I ordered in new tires because the sales guy said the ones on my car were worn on the inside. Rather than choose the more expensive "in-stock" tires I chose some based off the best reviews and pricing. After going to get the alignment done the dealer told me the alignment was fine and that they'd replace the tires free of charge because they were just bad tires. SO I go back to refund my order and the sales guys get all pissed with me because they special ordered the tires. Then they charge me $81.20 for shipping and restocking when refunding the order. $81.20 for four tires that cost $53 a piece. They were 195/65/R/15 which is a normal size and easily could have sold them in store to another customer within days. I will no longer visit any of these stores because this kind of service is unacceptable to me. I would accept 10% or even 25%, but $81.20 is almost 40% of the cost of the tires!

I was sold some tires a few months ago and was assured that they would be safe for winter. Today we had a snowfall of about a half inch and even with ABS breaks I couldn't stop at stop signs. I even ran into another car. I called the store and asked what my options were and was told I would need to buy new tires. I mean come on you can't even help me out a little.

WOW. Went in to get new all terrains on my F350. After they were on I mentioned to the guys at the store that they looked small. They said drive on them and if you don't like them bring Em back within 30 days... Tried to do that today, only two weeks and 500 miles later, and was told I would have to pay 80% of the replacement tire cost. What. Not only can you not return them you only get 20% credit on tires in excellent condition and only 500 miles? I keep hearing about people leaving Discount and now I know why. Hate to see the change in them because they WERE great but not anymore. Firestone here I come!

Just read the previous comment and I am having the same problem. My old car, which has front wheel drive, has been like a Quarter Horse in all weathers, able to make a turn and stop on a dime. I have used Discount Tires for years and years and never experienced a problem. Recently I purchased two new tires and they have been problematic from the start. (Was told my previous tires are not made any more). The new tires are so unacceptable that even a puddle in the road challenges them, to say nothing of the sheets of ice and accumulated snow of yesterday. I wish I had the accepting and forgiving attitude of the previous poster, however Discount has lost me as a customer because no-one could directly answer my question: What is your return policy. Instead I was being sold another option but with qualifications in their presentation. This in two different Discount shops. I live on a mountain at 7,000 altitude. No need for local businesses to not be able to sell a tire that has traction......especially an all-weather.

I first went to Discount Tire to replace the Goodyear tires that came on my Jeep. The sales person was really great, however the tire selection that he sold me (Yokohoma's) on was terrible in the snow, the sales person told me if I wasn't satisfied, that I could return the tires within 30 days. As it turned out, within a week or so, snow hit and those tire didn't do the job. I took my vehicle back and the manager agreed to change out the tires with Goodyear's that he recommended (RSA's). That was just before Christmas.

Over the past 2 weeks, the Chicagoland area has been bombarded with snow and cold. These Goodyear's that replaced the Yokohamas, in the snow are just as bad, when trying to go around a corner at slow speeds, the rear of my jeep keeps wanting to come around. unfortunately, it is 7 days past the 30 day make... Oh-well my loss I guess!

...Ford Rd. Dearborn, MI., because he had a flat tire. The mechanic took the tire off and insisted that the tire needs to be replaced. In the process he threw away the manufacturing tire pressure sensor. I took the car to another chain, they put the tire back on, but needed the tire pressure sensor. I returned to Discount Tire, asked foe the sensor and they told me that ...
