I have been returning items I bought at the store for years with an electronic receipt if I can't find it. These are the receipts that are emailed to me. I went to my local store in Huntington Beach, CA one day and the young wanna be managet=r said they have never accepted photo copies of a receipt. I told her this was a an email one the store sent me so I went to the Westminster, CA store and the young lady said she was crazy. We always accept e-receipts. Today I went to the same store and was told that they can no longer accept e-receipts and it has been that way for a long time. I slammed my fist on the counter which shock him up. He then said let me scan your e-receipt and then told me there was no such transaction. I had to get the card I used to pay for it and slide it on the machine and it processed the refund. Normally the person at the desk would say your refund will go back to your card and that was it. The service at Home despot is getting worse with the hiring of young kids right out of school with no common sense. At least Lowe's still accepts e-receipts. If it wasn't for the fact that they don't carry most of the stuff I need I would shop there. What is the corporate policy on returns with an e-receipt? I would like corporate to respond with an email.
