i've noticed a large amount of inconsistency in regards to returns/exchanges. as i see mentioned throughout my search:

within 30 days of purchase
original packaging
receipt for returns
-----------
the inconsistency:

managers refusing a return on non-tampered food items (ie. soups, air-tight and/or water-tight goods) w/ receipt. blaming the reason on COV-id 19 & CDC recommendation, which is preposterous, social distancing and face covering thus far are the only recommendations from the CDC or WHO.

refusal to return a electronic goods w/ a receipt one day after purchase. returning the good in it's packaging was impossible, as it was in a splinter proof seal and had to be cut open.

refusal to return a non-tampered goods not purchased from their location. i've read the return policy ... it states even mail-ordered items can be returned to any DG retail store.

overall, this leads me to think DG cannot stand behind their products and should just blatantly put a sign on every retail store, "AS IS, NO RETURNS!" ... which is just BS. these local retail stores are practicing behavior based on deceitful behavior and district should communicate a DG's official return and exchange policy in clear view; on the entrance door, by the counter, if not taped to the counter.

signs are posted correctly on the doors as of current on the aforementioned DG's mask and social distancing, albeit i don't see it being enforced.

please clarify this, i only have 3 DGs i currently patron out of 9 local ones, as they execute one or all of the previously mentioned.
