Today I have a bus scheduled to depart Salem, OR at 10:35am. Due to previous experience with Greyhound being late I decided to track my bus to see what time it will actually depart. The computer tracker shows the bus is running ELEVEN (11) HOURS BEHIND SCHEDULE!!!! According to the tracker the bus arrived almost on time to Sacramento, CA at 10:45pm lastnight and for some unknown reason did not depart an hour later as scheduled, instead it sat there almost 11 hours. Now im thinking maybe this is a mistake, right? Surely they would contact the passengers in this situation, I mean they have had PLENTY of time. No, no email or phone call. So I call the 800 # and the woman literally told me she could not see anything about a delay and according to her computer there were NO CHANGES! Really??? Wow! Ok, so maybe it really is a mistake, right?? WRONG!!!! We arrive at the bus station and yes, the bus is indeed delayed by at LEAST 11 HOURS! Also, it may not come at all! Ok, not happy, but how do we get info about the status?? NO IDEA!! APPARENTLY OUR ONLY OPTION IS TO WAIT THE ELEVEN HOURS AND GO BACK TO THE BUS STATION TO FIND OUT IF THE BUS WILL OR WILL NOT ARRIVE!!!!! To make matters worse our connecting bus is still on time and there are NO more today. They tell me to contact the ticket office in Portland and they can help us. Guess What!? They can't do anything.. have to go back to the 800-231-2222 (The same people that told me to call portland) After working out a great deal of anger, rage & frustration by throwing a few things I call again. After much explaining (somehow they can not see the bus tracker!?) and repeating the same information over and over I got them to change the ticket to a different bus for tomorrow. However I have lost ALL confidence that the bus will even show up at this point. Most likely going to have a family member make the 7 hour round trip drive and pick me up. THANKS FOR NOTHING GREYHOUND!!!<br /> (by the way, if they could give me even one reason for the delay I might be a little more understanding, but they don't even know how to track the bus, much less have even the smallest inkling of an idea why the bus is 1/2 a day BEHIND SCHEDULE!!!) They seriously need to focus some effort on training and customer service this us truly the worst service I have had in a really long time. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
