I live in salt lake city utahand my son received some painting products for his 9th birthday, he is autistic and I didn't think it was the right gift. Anyways I talked to the parent who had brought the gift and she informed me it was from michaels. Without a receipt I went to return the items. The cashier asked me for the buyers card number phone number etc and I didn't know them she called the manager over and they informed me they would not return nor let me exchange the items claiming the items could have been bought anywhere. I feel this was unfair and not right. I saw the exact items in that store and as a gift I feel I shouldn't have to know the buyers account info. Now I am stuck with items not suitable for my special boy and he is out a chance to have something he could have enjoyed. I am very displeased with michaels which happened to be my favorite store for all my crafts scrapbook in and church activities.
