HD returns that receive store credit are now registered to a person. So if my husband has a store credit issued to a HD card (not HD credit card) it will be registered to him. That means if I need to use I can't. That should be illegal. First off that is way too much info for a gift card or store credit to have. Can you imagine if that was the case with a Ralph's or Arco gift card ? No one would every want or buy one? If they haven't been hacked already they will be. Basically they are making our personal information more vulnerable. What if the card is issued to someone who dies? Do I have to present an original death certificate to them to receive the credit? I'm pretty sure we'll be hearing about a class action lawsuit soon.
