We booked a hotel through Expedia recently and within 12 hours we had to change plans but noticed the money was taken out when it said it wouldn't be until booking and we had free cancellation for a day prior, so we called the hotel and they said that they money from Expedia hadn't been sent through yet and to call them. So we did.<br /> <br /> They were very rude and never once budged on a refund and told us the money was already with the hotel and denied claims when we said the hotel hadn't received it yet.<br /> <br /> So we called the hotel again and asked if when they get the money, may we receive a refund (minus their fees), the lady then informed us that they don't receive any money until we check in!<br /> <br /> So we rang Expedia back and caught them out of their dirty lie and their attempt to keep all the money and was quickly given a refund to shut us up.<br /> <br /> Formal complaint lodged - I reckommend no one uses them.
