I booked a hotel room through Expedia using their pull down calendar for 09-09-17. When the confirmation was sent it showed 01-01-17, the date I made the reservation. This was a non-refundable booking but I felt that the error was a computer glitch on Expedia's end. I immediately called the hotel about the error - within five minutes, but they said I'd have to talk to Expedia. Expedia politely said, 'tough,' that since the booking was after 4:00 p.m. the hotel would not be able to rebook the room for someone else. I disputed that since I had called the hotel within five minutes advising it was an error. Expedia didn't care. They would not change the booking to the correct date or refund my money. While I have no proof, I truly believe Expedia's system glitched since I had used the pull down calendar. Lesson learned - I will never use Expedia again.
