I will never use Expedia again. Through no fault of our own, we were not able to fly to Vancouver from Denver for our two-day trip. Expedia refused to refund any of the money we were charged for the two night hotel stay. So, they get to keep our $412. Talking to someone in customer service (based in India?) is a joke because they don't understand U.S. geography or airlines use of the "spoke and hub" approach to placing planes in airports. When TSA screening slows air passenger check-ins and weather in Houston cancels/delays planes- passengers across the system get stranded. However, according to someone in Expedia who looked on their computer, "weather in Denver was not bad so there was no reason for our not being able to travel". Therefore, we are not entitled to just pay a "penalty fee but must lose our entire amount.
