I had booked a hotel reservation at the very end of January 2015, and our room had bed bugs. We talked with the hotel, and they told us we had to go through Expedia to get our money back, and I have been calling back and forth since then (it's currently October). I call, they tell me they're going to process the refund, and that I shouldn't worry. Of course, I still haven't been refunded, and a month ago I called and they told me the hotel never put the refund in (even though the hotel told us they sent the money back to Expedia that night) and that the best they could offer me was a $50 discount, even though my room costed double that. I asked if they could call the hotel, but they said that would take too long and it would be better to take the discount. I hung up and called the hotel, and they told me that they HAD verified the refund, and they had proof they did and would gladly help me talk to Expedia. I called back Expedia and they told me they would get their supervisors to fix it. At this point Expedia is telling me they're working with corporate, but corporate seems in no rush as its been 2 weeks since they contacted corporate. I called today and they said they sent a notice to corporate saying my refund is "urgent" but I'll probably have to call Expedia again in a week just to get some new excuse for not giving me my money back.
