Reserved a HERTZ rental car through EXPEDIA. I couldn't make the trip due to a medical condition so cancelled the reservation with EXPEDIA (took 4 hours on the phone). That was 5/20/15. I have yet to receive my money back and today is 6/23/15 and EXPEDIA said it would take 2 weeks. My suggestion to everyone out there is to make car rentals directly with the car rental provider because EXPEDIA isn't responding to emails and the other day I was holding 1 hour only to be mysteriously disconnected. The rates are the same so why frustrate yourself with a website who is ONLY interested in reservations and not handling your problems. You've been warned!!!
