Tried to return Meta (Occulus) Quest 2 at store (ordered online/delivery); stated serial # on headset didn't match with box. Come to find out using the Occulus support site that the serial #s aren't suppose to match up as the one on the box is for the whole vr kit and the one on the headset is just for the headset itself. Left and right controllers also have different serial #s (battery compartment).

This is also pretty common it seems (google it), but even when providing them with this information, they still denied the return. I even had a male employee vouch for this information, yet the "unprofessional" female managers kept rolling their eyes and looked at me like I was an alien (just plain disrespect). Yet the thing that really bothered me was the fact the managers knew exactly where to look for the serial # on the headset (hidden by strap). This looks to me like they had prior experience with returns for this device. Did they deny all the other returns by other people who purchased this? Were they lying to me and knew from the get-go that the serials wouldn't match (so they wouldn't have to take it back)? Keep in mind, I had originally paid someone else to make this return for me earlier since I had work, so to have to leave work for something like this and not have it resolved ... very frustrating since today was the return deadline.

I felt like I was there for hours for really no reason, just to make what should have been a simple return. Ended up calling customer service phone # to extend the return after giving my story - gonna try a different walmart tomorrow; also going to file a complaint with the managers. I use to work in customer service so yeah I know how customers can definitely treat workers, but to not have common sense or respect for the customer or your fellow employees really bugs me.

P.S. Don't buy it from Walmart - you may likely get a used product that had been repackaged and resold as new. When first opening, I noticed the lack of plastic wrap and there were already blemishes on the device.

#Waste of time, gas, and money.
