Ordered a 200$ prepaid mastercard online. Was not activated. When I went to store they REFUSED to activate, despite me having all of the online receipt, purchase history online pulled up on phone & had my drivers license. They said it was a walmart.com issue and told me call them. I asked for refund, they refused telling me to call walmart.com. Called walmart.com and was transferred one dept to another for 2 hours then disconnected. Called back and was promised card would be activated WITHIN 4-6 HOURS. Seven hours later here I am with an inactive card, customer service shut down for the holiday and screwed over by walmart for 200$. Police will be called immediately as this is absolutely unacceptable and wrong. When I contacted [email protected], as suggested online, they told me to call mastercard. Does nobody know how to understand the english language there? Or do they hire people incapable of comprehending what people are saying? I'm so frustrated and pissed off by the fact that 8 hours of my day has been wasted by this company: I was defrauded by being sent an inactive card, lied to by being told it would be activated within 4-6 hours and have had my entire day robbed of me by this careless, negligent company. This should have been an easy fix - all they have to do is scan the dang card to activate it! Or, issue me store credit refund so I can repurchase! This is absurd and insane. I will NEVER purchase anything from walmart again and if I ever receive a gift I know was purchased by walmart I will return.
