Walmart's return policy now is ridiculous. I get that a lot of people take advantage of returns, but a customer rarely returns anything and has a legitimate need to it isn't a good customer service experience. I bought a set of earmuffs for an infant as a baby shower gift. Bought in May, baby shower was in June, and the baby wasn't big enough to use them until August. First time using them they came apart. Made it to Walmart in early September with my receipt asking for an exchange. First I was told that it was an electronics item. It wasn't,it was bought in Sporting Goods. Then the CS rep informed me that I couldn't return the item because it was more than 90 days since I had purchased them. Since Walmart is making their return policy over-restrictive in my opinion, I will just do the majority of my shopping with other companies that take specific situations into account when deciding if a refund might actually be appropriate. Sad that less than $18 in merchandise will cost them a lot more in the long run.
