I've been shopping at Walmart all my life. Printers always fell under the 90-day return policy. Only computers, phones, (some) camera equipment and GPS had to be returned within 15 days. Even televisions have a 90-day return policy.

I bought a printer from walmart.com (sold + shipped by Walmart, not a 3rd-party seller). Waited well over a week. Evidently, it was lost by UPS and never arrived. They shipped another one (over a week later), which didn't work.

I was told by a .com rep to return to the local store. The local Walmart wouldn't take it back (even with original packing slip, online receipt, etc.), saying the printer only had a 15-day return policy. (at that point, it had bee 26 days).

Ridiculous!

NOWHERE on the HP Envy printer page (on walmart.com) says anything about a 15-day return policy. Not 1, 2 nor 3 different walmart.com phone reps said anything about a 15-day return policy, either. Walmart.com is perfectly happy to send a return-shipping label (snail mail) with an estimate of 2 weeks to receive and process a refund (?!) They will also email the return-shipping label (and take the printer back / process refund). Which would be fine... if I had a working printer.

The local Walmart return counter rep claims printers have a 15-day return policy at the store as well as .com, which isn't true (obviously). Even the senior electronics rep was shaking her head about this one and wondered what .com's and return counter's problem was!

There's a large sign over the electronics check-out counter that lists everything that has a 15-day return policy and printers are not on that list!

I'm buying a printer at Costco.
