I purchased from TJ Maxx a box of cookies called "cookies con Amore" to my spouse for Mother's Day. Unfortunately the "con Amore" turned into a "con Horror" taste sensation. What should have been a subtle mix of lemon, edible flowers and cheese cake tasted like rancid shortbread cookies and sour cheese. Anyway, what upset me the most is that the manager at TJ Maxx in Wilmington, NC refused to reimburse my Mother's Day yucky gift, stating that they don't accept food back like I quote "they would do in Walmart" (I don't know about Walmart as I rarely shop there, but I never had issues returning damaged food in any other stores in all my life spent in the US). As I was rather upset, I said I wouldn't go back to their store anymore, and the manager said "fine." As I felt like it was in my right to be reimbursed for something which was not edible, I added just before leaving before the staff and annoyed customers that I will give them a good press in town (and beyond). So there you go...
