I had 6 or 7 items that I purchased at 2 different Walmart super-centers in Lynchburg Va. on December 24th 2018 that I needed to return. So on March 1st 2019 I go to the Walmart super center on Wards road in Lynchburg and when I get to customer service the lady said I need a receipt, I showed her my 2 receipt but she couldn't read them good enough, I told her I shop Walmart 4 to 6 times a week and putting the money on a card was no problem. Then she ask for my debit card that I used when I purchased the items, I told her I had an unknown purchased on the card I used and I had to get a new card a month ago. Then she said she don't think I purchased them for the wards road store it was the old forest Walmart super center across town that is 10 miles apart. I ask her why do I have to go there I thought I could return to any Walmart super center, she said no you can't and I ask for the manager and she got an assistant manager that said Walmart new policy is you have to have a receipt, or the bank card you purchased the items with and you have to take the items to the same store you purchased from, and he definitely shouldn't be an assistant manager because he has no customer service skills and the only thing he could say is you can't return here. So with that being said, my family of 8 will go elsewhere because of this very poor customer service of an assistant manager that most likely got assistant manager because he is friends with someone higher than him, I believe in customer service.
