i just ran into the same problem i bought a air mattress over 100 i had my receipt.. i went into the store with my receipt.. i'm trying to return it within the 15 days which i bought the air mattress on September 1st and went to try to return it on September 3rd... i got told even with a receipt and my card that purchased with i had to get a gift card.. not only that the store manager Stephanie was very rude...i also called corporate as i was in the store i told the store manager Stephanie that i was going to call and i find out what the policy was on return.... so when i called corporate i talk to Alexis and i explained to her what was going on she told me that that was not a policy... then Alexis tried calling for her self the store witch is 5200 Fairmont pasadena tx 77505.... store manager Stephanie would not accept the phone calls after Alexis in corporate was calling multiple times... Stephanie new that corporate was calling cause Alexis had ask me to get another manager and to tell Stephanie that corporate was on the phone...Stephanie had said over the talkie-talkie..''tell that customer that i am busy and that i already explained to her the policy... and Stephanie never came up to the front... then i Melody told corporate you see how your management team are.. they are ignoring me treating me very ugly...so then corporate Alexis told me that she was very sorry for all that i was going thought....and not to worry cause everything was being recorded and that she was writing all this information down...after all that being said we still had to wait another 30-40 minutes till Stephanie came to the from... she was surged that i had never left.. i was still there trying to get my problem resolved... even after she finally talk to Alexis corporate and the store manager Stephanie was even rude to her after corporate told her that was not a policy... Stephanie refused to listening and said that her store manager Estevan and the district manager Dennis said that was a new policy that Walmart has..... As for me Melody as a customer i believe that they should have sings where there are air mattresses and electronics or where their most expensive items so that us customers can be aware of this policy.... I believe with all the other comments that i have been reading on this page.. that we can actually make a change of this... this multi billion dollar company is taking advantage of our hard working money... i would understand a policy like this if there was no receipt or the receipt was more then 30 days old... also before i forget i was supposed to get a phone from the store manager Estevan within 3 days and i did not receive a phone call.. so i called once again corporate and spoke to Terry and he said he could not see this policy.. and he did not understand why they did not put the money back on my card...so i should be receiving call from the district manager Dennis here soon lets if they call...
