After being a very loyal Avon Customer for 50 years, I received unsatisfactory service after experiencing an allergic reaction to one of their facial, skin care products. Although I completed a medical form, I was instructed NOT to return the product. NO attempt was made to offer any kind of a refund., or even credit towards another item. The Avon catalog basically states, "If you are not satisfied, return any item and get your money back," What a joke. By the time you track down your former representative, drive or send the defective product to the rep, you have already spent more money than the product's worth - and you are no closer to receiving a refund or credit towards another product. Avon recorded my "customer service" phone call and they should use the less-than-delightful conversation between customer and customer service as a training model. I specifically ended my call with, "So, let me get this straight, after being a loyal customer for many years, and almost ending up in the ER from your crappy product, I have no recourse with this item?" I was then told, "I will pass your message along." Okay, you do that, and I will pass my message along, too.
