CVS don't follow their own code of conduct for customers. They don't try to identify legitimacy for refunds because of the refund policy. I've known of other stores making exceptions when a refund was legit. It's a shame because a lot of elderly people shop at cvs. My elderly uncle purchased the wrong items as well as the correct items and we've been trying to get an exchange for over a month. We've experienced nothing in the form of the code of conduct they claim to have it's totally the opposite. It's not a lost for cvs in any way. Only the customer loses. We've been led on for over a month. I feel so bad for my uncle because he had faith in CVS but they don't make exceptions for valued customers that been shopping there for years.

I bought a book and paid with my bank debit card. Did not get a receipt however I have a copy of my bank statement showing date CVS and amount paid. Can I use this as my receipt?

I Was In Cvs D'iberville, Ms. Both Laura And Joe Were Very Rude. They Refused To Give Me Cash Back On 2 Items I Needed To Return That I Paid With Debit Card That I Do Not Have! Not Oy That, I Had A Receipt They Refused To Exchange Out And Refused An I Store Credit. This I Have Filed A Complaint Against The Store And Both Joe And Laura Individually. This Is Why I Rarely Use Cvs . Walgreens Is Much Better! Terrible Store. I Am Quite Sure I'm. Not The Only One With Same Complaint

CVS has the absolute worst return policy compared to any other store.
First off, even if you have a receipt they WILL NOT refund you unless they can scan your drivers license, no exceptions.
Not only that they refuse to give cash if you paid with debit, even though their register has it as an option they refuse to do it. Why?
Because the company is shxt, their employees are idiots and rude, their managers are a$$holes, and they are literally waiting for a reason to say no. Their lives are so pathetic and boring they sit their waiting to piss their customers off.
I live within 10 miles of 20 cvs's, every one is the same.
Don't shop there, fxck them, they are a shxtty company filled with shxtty employees, all of them, you can drive across the country and stop at a cvs it will be just as shxtty as the one near your house.
Walgreens is cheaper and nicer, by alot. If you have the receipt. They don't need id, and if you pay with debit they give back cash.
Pus Walgreens stores are just way nicer, brighter, and the employees aren't fxcking idiots and jerks.

CVS has certain employees, mostly managers, that have adopted a very rude attitude and accusatory nature. Like you are a suspect to be watched & questioned. So very rude. & the Pharmacy tech actually caused a huge problem alerting the pharmacist,to be suspicious, about my dogs anxiety RX, that he's been prescribed for years, by his Vet. A Dr. With 12 plus years of Med School Education & degrees. Veterinarians are Doctors & Surgeons. It's harder to gain admission & acceptance to Vet school, than Med school.Either way,all True Doctors, are Diploma recipients, from actual Universities. Unlike a Pharmacist, who is NOT a doctor, & not allowed to write prescriptions. A tech is a gopher. Listen up Barney Fife... Don't question my fkng Vet. Don't insinuate i want my dogs meds for myself. Don't try to co-mingle my Rx profile with my dogs, to accuse of trickery to get more meds. How dare you raise a flag on my profile. You fkng busy body miserable person. The tech as well. F you both. If you'd do your jobs, accordingly, there would be less a wait. No drama.

I just returned from my Cabin John CVS where I tried to return a L'Oréal Preference unopened package of hair dye and also an unopened bottle of Tylenol. Both items unopened in their original boxes. They we Re purchased Spril 20 and I tried previously to return them and, at that time, they said they weren't. Returning items yet but to hold them and try again later. I tried today and I have the receipts, and was told all items are final sales but z could donate these items since I cannot use them. Is this the new policy???

I made a purchase of perfume. Box not opened. Wrapper still.on. I used debit card and pin#. I received same item for gift so want to return it. Cashier said only would put back on my card. I told him.i.couldnt wait 3 to 5 days to process. I couldn't wait 1 day. I needed the cash back. Should of never treated myself anyways. Couldn't afford it. So I kept the item and receipt and am.goinf to try another store. Csnt I get cash back if I used debit card and pin?

CVS return policy is misleading and untruthful. I purchased an electric shaver @ the end of April. At the time of purchase, the cashier and manager said that there are no returns until things opens up. They promised that they will refund in June once covid-19 cases subsides in our area. I went back today and they said that now they a policy where no one can return if was purchased during the pandemic. My item is unopened and have save the receipt. Store manger said that hang to it for few more months (5-6 months) as they may give me the store credit, if anything changes.

$65 curling iron purchased on 3/12 prior to COVID, that doesn't work. I tried to return it on 3/23, BEFORE the ban on returns. They were hanging the signs at the time, stating no returns after 3/25. They still would not accept my return on 3/23. I disputed it with my credit card and CVS fought it. Dispute was denied. I am out $65 for absolutely nothing. They did not even honor their own policies.

Horrible return policy!! I bought two sunscreens and found one of the ingredients is very controversial. I wanted to return/ exchange for safer sunscreen and they said they are not taking returns. When I talked to the CVS customer care, they said stores should be accepting returns now. So much confusion. Amazon continues to accept returns through mails and CVS should give the customers a similar option. If they are so concerned about covid 19, then we should be able to mail in our returns at least.

thats not true because i had bought two boxes of dry mouth disc for my elderly uncle since they are up there in age they cant go shopping for themselves, and i bought the wrong thing i took them back the next day i was told they would not and could not do any refunds because of the corona virus i said what am i supposed to do with these wheres the honor. she just shrugged her shoulders and said its what im told so im stuck with these items because they wont give me my money back, so much for honor.

Total confusion at CVS about refunds for items purchased on 3/25-5/9. So if I bought a product on May 9 I will be denied a refund if I tried to return on May 10? However, if I bought it on May 10 and tried to return it later that same day CVS will refund. Does that even make any sense? I purchased face lotion, not one of the several items people were hoarding. I understand and honor a no return policy on those products. Headquarter's Customer Relations informed me that non-excluded items bought on 3/25-5/9 could be returned after May 9. CVS store manager did not agree and told me he would not refund my purchase. Take a look at link https://thekrazycouponlady.com/tips/store-hacks/store-return-policies-coronavirus for other store policies. Although many were not doing refunds during a certain time period in Mar to Apr, the majority including Target, Costco, Walmart, Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Macy's, Sephora, Gap, J.Crew, Victoria Secret and Foot Locker are now processing refunds for products bought during that time period. Some have extended the period in which products can be returned. SAMMS and Walgreens retained their original return policies. CVS states its "All Sales Final" is a "temporary suspension and will be in place until further notice" . Should have just stated that all sales are final until further notice. Adding temporary suspension confuses the issue.

I brought reading glasses thinking they will work but it did not fit properly. I try to return it on same day and they told me the store policy of not return. I did not see a sign of not return policy at store. Also Cvs web site still says that product can be return. I call manager and all see can say is that this is the store policy with an attitude which does not fit cvs reputation. What are my options to return the glasses I brought? Why the cvs website does not post no return policy on the website.

I decided to give Instacart a try since there was an item available through Instacart and CVS that I couldn't find anywhere else. The item said it was available at one store in my area but didn't say which one. So, I ordered the item along with a few other items to reach the minimum in order to use Instacart. I did not know if the item is available, Instacart can substitute. I also did not know that there was a "no return" policy at CVS. I know that Walgreen's is accepting returns during the coronavirus. Out of the 5 items that I ordered, 3 were unavailable and to my dismay were substituted with items that I cannot use. I went to return the items and they said - NO RETURNS!! It seems like a scam to put items available online and then substitute them with something else and then not be able to return them!!!

Needed to return an item I just purchased. One CVS on St Simons Island said I could the other said no. I went in person . The cashier wad sweet as pie but the manager who called the other store to verify my story was rude and insulting. Never apologized for his lack of updated knowledge. Said a nasty remark and went to Pharmacy. Left abruptly. The cashier continued to apologize . I always make it a point to be sweet and respectful to others. I would expect that from an employee to me the customer. I will return tomorrow to place an in person complaint so no one else has my experience. I hope .

After reading all of these comments I might not even go back to CVS in the morning to argue with the store manager. I bought bailey's for my in home motion detectors on April 19th at the CVS in Corpus Christi Texas at 4101 IH 69. I realized asap upon arriving home that they were the wrong size. The next day, April 20th, I attempted to return them, unopened. The actual store manager told me to hold on to them until this whole Covid 19 thing was over. Realizing after a few weeks that this might never be over, on May 17th, 2020, I went back to the same CVS to make another attempt at returning these batteries and they said no that if I bought anything before May 9th it's unrefundable. Whattttt???? The actual manager told me to hold onto them when I took them back the first time stating that I could bring them back months from now. If they were AA, AAA, C or even D batteries I wouldn't mind keeping them but these are a size of battery that I will never be able to use!!! FYI: No sign posted, no warning, nothing! How are the customers supposed to know CVS? Thieves!!!!! I will never shop there again!

A few weeks ago I had 2 seperate purchases to make. One for myself and one for my mother on her card. While trying to sort my purchases out for which card the cashier and manager(who couldn't keep her nose out of it) started grabing my items and ringing them up. I began to feel rushed and in the process forgot to give a coupon for that purchase. When I asked to have it returned and re-rang at the correct price, the manager refused. I said it cudnt be cuz of the carona thing cuz the item never left her hands...she still refused!! I left shopin at Walgreena cuz they refused to return an open makeup item and told me they wudnt give me my CASH back that i paid but wud give me an in store credit instead, sayin "if we cant put it back on the shelf, u get an in store credit for something u paid cash for! I don't know how else ur supposed to try something without opening it up!! It was the reason I started to shop at CVS. BUT when u shud not touch things til the customer explain things to u, and u rush the customers, mistakes will be made. The manager shud have kept her nose out of the transaction and maybe it wudnt have happened. And when it did, carona virus or not...they shud have corrected the mistake! SHAME ON U CVS!

Shame on CVS ! I purchased three boxes of light bulbs , got home and realized they weren't gonna work . A few weeks later I went to return the two unopened boxes with my receipt and was told all sales are final.I am speechless and feel scammed almost by the CVS franchise. Light bulbs really ! I will be making my trips to Walgreens in the future .

Bought wrist braces that are supposed to help alleviate carpel tunnel symptoms. As soon as I put them on, they actually immediately made the symptoms worse while wearing them. Won't take returns, even for medical supplies that don't work. Out over $60 since the bottom of the receipt says all sales final during the pandemic...

Purchase hair clippers from CVS two days before Governer Kemp let the businesses open. They are still in the box(never open, with receipt) couldn't return for an refund.
I asked the clerk when CVS will start excepting returns, she said, "when the corona epidemic is over"
What A RIP-OFF

Posted by Bosco14

I just purchased an item today from CVS. I never opened the box because I realized when I got home it was the wrong item. So apparently, I can't return it! It was $26.99. I am really aggravated. Every other store, including Walgreen, is accepting returns.
Now I am stuck with an item I can't use, and out $26.99. I will never shop at CVS again. This is not about Covid, it's about CVS finding a way to rip people off. Never again......

Posted by Dissatisfied

Very disappointed while trying to return an item I bought a month ago, before there new policy about returns. So now we have to wait and hope the 30 day policy doesn't effect the return???

Posted by Anonymous

This makes no sense at all..I bought a leave in conditioner for 16.99 decided I wanted to return it..and I couldn't I didn't even pay attention to the receipt because I come here all the time and never had a problem with returning items

Posted by EllieMae

Wow, I'm done with CVS. I purchased Olay Regenerist lotion for $26.99 and it was really greasy. I took it back within 30 days and they would not honor their return policy. I never saw a sign stating "no returns." Never in my wildest dream did I think it would be legal for them to do this when on their website they state "customers can return any opened nonprescription store brand or beauty product. CVS will issue a full refund of the purchase price without asking questions about the reason for the return.

How many people in America read the bottom of the cash register receipt? I check the total to make sure it's correct, but I never read the entire receipt.

The least CVS could (and should) do is advise every customer as they're checking out that all sales are final. Post Caveat Emptor!

Disappointed in CVS. Selling a phone charging cord that doesn't even work. I have the receipt and bought it a week ago. I thought maybe it was a charging block that wasn't working but no it's the new Charging cord I purchased. But they would not exchange their defective merchandise they are selling to customers. All I wanted was one that works but that doesn't seem to matter. Fix your wrong CVS. Your customers depend on you!

I went to return an item I bought 2 days ago. Unopened with receipt.
I stood in line outside 20 min, then stood in line inside the store a good 15 min. A customer was purchasing over $130 of items(3 carry baskets full). When I finally got to the register and said I was returning, I was told no returns. And they pointed to a letter taped next to the register stating no returns during the crisis.
I was not happy. How the heck am I supposed to see a letter while standing in line 6 feet apart. I spent 35 min in line and couldnt return my item. It's seems using this pandemic as an excuse to not do returns. The cashier and clerks handle merchandise all day long that customers touch so I don't know what the logic is regarding returns but they just lost a customer. Walgreens still allows returns so I'll giving them my business from now on.

Yes, same thing. No one at the store let us know about the "no return policy because of the virus." No signs anywhere. Everyone is blaming everything on the virus? CVS is exempt from its return policy that is currently listed on the web page because of the virus? Really? This is a stretch. We purchased a nail clipper that is the wrong size,it is in it's original packaging. We can disinfect the outside of the package if they want! If we knew we could not take it back , we would have never bought it in the first place. Shame on you CVS!!
We will call our charge card company dispute the charge, and never shop there again.

I purchased a shower seat due to my disability. When we got it home, my husband read the box and found that it is too wide for our little tub. We took it right back since we never.opened the box. They said that due to this virus we have to hold on to it until merchandise is being accepted back again. Please advise.

I normally don't shop at CVS, however, I went in to purchase Zicam as well as some other items to mail to a family member who is in COVID quarantine. I brought both the swab and spray to the register, to get a price check on the swab. I was told they rang up the same price. I told the clerk to give me the spray.
I went to mail the Zicam, realizing then that the clerk sold me the swab as well.
I went back to CVS to return the Zicam swab and was told no returns due to the Virus. It was the clerks mistake not mine. I am done with CVS. Should've went to where I normally shop. Walgreens!!!

I agree with the previous comments, I saw no sign stating all sales are final. I was returning a bottle of shampoo to the store to exchange for the right one, same price, same maker. Was told no exchange or return due to the corona virus. I think CVS needs to re-evaluate how they are treating their customers.

Posted by SusanB

I made a purchase last week (around April 9) and did not open either package. There was no sign at the register stating that all sales were final, nor did the cashier notify me. I don't blame the cashier, I'm sure they are doing the best they can in this unprecedented situation.

I went back yesterday to the same CVS to return and was told "all sales final" due to coronavirus. I was a bit shocked and it was indeed on the sales receipt. Usually you get 60 days for returns at CVS I believe.

Am going to contact my credit card company to see if I have any recourse since I was not advised of CVS revised return policy.

Purchased exercise bands 1 package had already been open plastic sleeve damaged. Other 3 packages remains unused. Cause Lstex intolerent. Did not see the fine print on box. Store manager strictly enforces Covid-19 no return policy. Signage to that effect was not visible when I purchased the products. One helper in the aisle handled each box with no gloves. Therefore even if she washed her hands prior she was transferring possible virus from product to product. Customers as well transport the virus even when wesring gloves if they have contaminated their gloves on a door handl or product.CVS new policy only benefits them financially at the expense of the customers. They are profiteering from the pandemic

I echo with the previous comments. At this difficult time, most stores are kind to help the customers. For example, Amazon is extending the return period, and Rite Aid is extending the reward expiration date. Yet, CVS, a pharmacy in high demand in this health crisis, not only does not try to help more, but try to make all sales final. That is simply appalling.

I purchased a mouse pad from CVS store in Bristol Connecticut. When I discovered the mouse pad would not be compatible with my PC, I attempted to return it within 24 hours unopened with original sales receipt. Thein associate informed me that it could not be returned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When I asked when it could be returned, the associate denied knowing when the item could be returned. I feel CVS is acting recklessly by not posting or having the associates inform customers when they make purchases that they are in essence a final sale during the COVID- 19 pandemic. I am done shopping at CVS.

I purchased glucose test strips from the cvs store #5387 @ 1318 PM at 4500 Gen Meyer in New Orleans. The strips were of the wrong type. I returned to the store to refund and purchase the correct strips. The counter associate informed me that they do not give refunds on items because of the coronavirus. At the end of the pandemic they will give me the refund. I asked what if virus isolation extends beyond 30 days, and she just shrugged her shoulders. I ended up purchasing the correct strips ($22.97). The first purchase cost $12.58. Total cost of a small box of glucose strips has cost me $35.55 at the cvs store. I will never shop at CVS again!

Went to CVS on 16th St and Baseline in Phoenix, Arizona to return headphones that don't even work. Spent $27+ and they said can't do returns unless it's prescription. That makes no sense. You can't give people their money back since this coronavirus BS is going on? Don't ever shop at CVS! High prices and you can't return anything.

I had an excellent customer service experience with the location on Greenway in Litchfield Road. The young ladies working are Professional, extremely personable and very helpful, The website does say that they offer a " money back guarantee ", and I was given a card with store credit immediately no questions asked. My receipt was past 60 days, but they were beauty products. The return was done no questions asked. It was super fast and they were super super friendly. I just felt it necessary to post positive feedback.

To cancel literally 5min after hitting the enter key.. was told "oh sorry, it's already been boxed and on the way to UPS" ... ay 11PM!! Called again. Same lies. Called 26 hrs after ordering to finally get a tracking number only to have YOU call them to turn it around... still never got my refund! Had to dispute with my credit card

I am so glad that I read these comments. I had a return and the receipt. Store stated that they could only give me store credit even though I paid with cash.
This situation was CVS' third strike with me. Gave gift card to sister.

SHOP WALGREENS instead of CVS! Oscar the "Manager" AT THE Alameda store in San Jose, Ca denied giving me $4.99 cash back from my return WITH RECEIPT bc it was purchased with a debit card I no longer had. He was only willing to give me store credit. Ever time I go into that rundown store there is someone walking out with loads of merchandise under their jacket and they do absolutely not one thing to stop them, then I, a paying customer WITH MY RECEIPT want cash back that is less than 5 dollar from an unopened purchase that was made 4 days ago get sh#t on! I will be sure to steal from them next time I shop there, they seem to get treated better!

I ran out of baby formula for my mine month old so I sent my oldest to CVS to get me enfamil gental ease in the purple can. Well instead she brings me the CVS brand formula that is compared to enfamil gentle ease. So I took it back because my child is highly allergic to pretty much all formula. When I tried to make the return with the receipt my daughter was given when she made the purchase for the baby formula, I was told at not one but , two different CVS that they don't do returns on baby food or formula but, clearly when I looked at my reciept that with a receipt here can be a refund issued. It also says on line that CVS does do returns and refunds with a proper receipt no older than 60 days old. I have serious problem with CVS pharmacy because this is total BS. ITS OK FOR YOU TO TAKE MY MONEY THEN WHEN YOUR PRODUCT IS NOT USEFUL YOU JUST ROB YOU CUSTOMERS AND THATS OK?? NO TAHTS FOULAND DEAD WRONG TO BE TRUTHFUL. IM A 33 YEAR OLS SINGLE MOTHER RAISING 8 CHILDERN AGES OMTH - 14 YRS OLD AND 4 OF WHICH ARE MY NICES AND NEPHEWS AND I ALREADY HAVE IT HARD SO I REALLY DONT APPRECIATE A MULTIBILLION CORP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE LIKE SHAME ON YOU CVS!

They want to track every purchase. Should be a law about Violation of privacy.who knows what happens to the id. I may stop getting anything there

A lot of comments here are from people who don't understand how the CVS policies work. I know some are legitimate and frustrating but you all have to understand that scammers do exist. If you return without a receipt, they're going to give you the lowest possible amount back ion credit. If you return without a receipt, you have to use your ID. Even though extra care exists, we can't track purchase made in store with it. These are things we cannot control and don't deserve to be yelled at and bashed for it. Not to mention difficult customers in general. For example, I have a lady that comes to my store frequently to return items that have been used and have already served its purpose to her. Or she claims something is wrong with it and she wants to exchange it. She has a receipt for a particular exchange. HOWEVER, once a return is completed, the same item on that receipt it no longer returnable and the system will deny it saying "No more items left to refund, Refund not allowed." That's what happened here and she got upset and said our customer service is bad. Fortunately for me, I am a supervisor and had the authority to deny her return regardless of how much she argued with me and complained. It is not ideal for most but certain policies are put in place by the higher ups that we HAVE to follow. I personally am working my own way through school and I can't afford to lose my job for bending a few rules so customers can sleep better at night. Just next time you all complain, consider how it affects the worker and stop being so selfish in thinking that the customer is always right because I guarantee you, you're not.

The return policy is just bs. I didn't have my receipt and they wouldn't give me full price on a store credit. Total bs on CvS part. They track everything we buy there. Just a way to rip off the public. I took the item back and threw it away. Poor customer relations there.

When I purchased my item, I used my debit card. It immediately withdrew from my account. Less than a week later, I wanted to do an even exchange. However, the credit to my account will take FIVE days before it reflects on my account. So no even exchanged, I would have to buy the other product and pay for it immediately. So stupid CVS, I walked not only because of the unfair exchange of payment, but the cashier Rochelle at your Willow Lake Dr location in Prescott AZ #10147 was so rude about it. She took an affront to my disappointment of not getting money back to make new purchase, even though I just wanted an exchange that costs exactly the same. So sale lost and customer. Thank God we have choices to go elsewhere in the USA.

Today, 8/7/2019, I went to CVSpharmacy at 5391 N. socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland, Florida to pickup my refilled metoprolol succ ER 25mg tab, prescription #700521.
Clerk said I had two. I said I only needed the metoprolol.
Today's other, tamsulosin hcl 0.4mg capsule ,quantity 90, was apparently filled on "automatic on 7/30/2019".
I have been trying to cancel the "auto" for months now. Earlier Tamsulosin at my house was filled on4/28/2019 and still has 90 in bottle with earlier previous bottle with10. I take it every nite for years.

My problem today is 10 minutes after opening stapled CVS envelope , clerk had placed unneeded tamsulosin instead of needed metoprolol....only 10 minutes had gone by before I returned to the counter to get mistake corrected.

Pharmacist told me the law said no return if opened.
The bottle was not opened!!
It got little ugly verbally and I apologized.

Somehow your auto system has created an excess of pills and obviously cost to me.
For months, this pharmacy has been exceptionally slow in service and appears to be changing employees rapidly.

Today I asked, as I did recently, to have my prescriptions taken out of your auto filling system.clerk assured me it was done (previous clerk said same).

***I want my money back and something printed if necessary to clear up any problem with Medicare or Cigna! Surely you have some way to do this correct thing.

Today I'm saying goodbye to CVS for good.
I have been a CVS's customer for more then 16yrs. My first return was in 2016, it was a big hassle, with unopened boxes, CVS employee gave mr unreasonable excuses, so I had to go to 3 different CVS locations to complete the returns. After that, I shopp less then I used to at CVS. Today, to return something that's under $20 dollars, I had to call to talk to the store supervisor and take 3 trips to the store to make the returns ...
CVS needs to improve the return policies and train the employees better or you'll loose customers!

Bought an electric razor last week. Got home to open it and found that there was a mass of someone's beard hair inside a number of the clipper attachments indicating use. Additionally, the charger had been replaced with an off brand charger and the bag it was supposed to come with was missing. When I returned it, I let the customer service rep know that it had been used and some things were missing. He shrugged it off and dropped it with the other go backs. Still haven't received the funds that should have been returned.

What's with making you feel like a criminal when you try to return a product with a receipt, ID and everything else they ask for. I am a long time customer who got interrogated when I tried to return a brush to a different CVS store than where I originally purchased it. It was a complete hassel. Come on CVS get with the times! You're losing customers due to your ridiculous policies. Never again!

I bought a concealer, an eyelash curler and an eyeshadow palette for ~$22. Then I found out the pharmacy nearby had essentially the same products but for half the price. I went back the next day to return my items but the cashier asked me for an ID. I'm still a teenager so I only had my school ID but I was denied the return because they needed a state ID. I'm literally in my early teens; how should I have a state ID? It's not like I have a driver's license because I'm not allowed to drive yet. Let it be known that the products were in perfect condition and I had not opened them because I knew I was going to return them and I had the receipt too. Nowhere in the return policy nor on the receipt did it say you needed a state id in order to return your items and it does not seem reasonable as all I did was purchase some things. Now I am stuck with $22 for 3 products when I could have gotten 10 things at the other pharmacy for the same price. Not surprisingly, I will not be returning to CVS again.

CVS ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!!!! What is this to many refunds system?? Whats so amazing is i never received a warning before my return was denied. I had a receipt each time so it is very obvious that i did not steal the items. I will not be shopping with CVS anymore. They are far to expensive anyway.

"Easy Returns" ...haha! This company preaches about easy returns! You don't like the make up you bought? We will take it back! Ok. So I'm the type of person who likes to purchase a couple products and will decide which one is the best for me. OR sometimes I simply don't have the time to stand in the store for hours and read each label. so, I buy a couple stuff and return what I don't like. MOST OF THE TIME, it's not used. and EVEN IF IT WAS USED, why is that a problem if they preach about easy returns? Let me tell you, I spend hundreds of dollars at cvs, and don't go to any other drugstore. So, I go in yesterday to return an item that hasn't been used. I realized the night cream I purchased was for day and night so I just wanted to exchange it for a night cream. So the guy at the register said you have a lot of returns so you can't return anything for 6 months, and I can't take this back. Even though the item I was buying was more expensive!!! Idiots. You could have made more money on that purchase. And who cares if I have excessive returns when you preach all the time if you don't like the product, "SIMPLY" return it. Haha, maybe you should put some language on your receipt saying returns aren't really as simple as you advertise. Embarrassing at the register to tell me I have excessive returns! Should we pull up my credit card statement so you actually see I spend a lot of money at your store monthly! Losers. I'm done with this place.

February 11, 2019, I purchased a heart monitor. February 12th, I returned monitor. The monitor was unopened, the manager of store (Kendal Park, N.J. store NO. 422-1703) refused to give refund. I was offered a CVS gift card in the amount of purchase.
Manager was rude, disrespectful and raised her voice as she was speaking.

For the past 7 years, I have made purchases and used the pharmacy on a regular basis.

Due to the store's mgr. attitude I will never shop in store again.

Dear CVS Representative,
Several months ago I ordered 2 boxes of Gluten Cutter and 2 bottles of Cerave
Somehow I must have been put on automated ordering because I keep getting a new shipment. We are not able to use the items fast enough and it is now stockpiled. Please discontinue shipment until further notice. I will order when I need it.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
John Harold

I bought a can of hairspray (overpriced of course) and chose the wrong kind. Had my receipt so thought there would be no problem, bought it the day before. So I go in and figured I would just return it. OMG...not only could I not return it, I couldn't even exchange it because I have no id.you gotta be kidding me CVS. What's the friggin receipt even for then? I was told I needed my Id for my protection. That makes no sense at all. There is no personal info on a cash receipt to begin with. So WTH does my licence have to do with any part of this transaction? I got stuck with a 8.99 can of hairspray I don't use. Also don't tell everyone that all stores need an id "with a receipt" for refunds or exchanges cuz CVS is the only store that I know of. Maybe you just don't want homeless people in your store. I guess teenagers not driving yet can't return anything either. Can't decide if your discriminating or just ripping people off.

I hate the carpenter road in Modesto ca store due to.one employee only fhi ks she is arianna grande with her bleached white hair pulled in a bum and can't do her job if she wanted to Cuz her personality sucks. I had a return with a video receipt and she recused to do it Cuz I didn't have the rewards card. I didn't need the card to get the rewards points my phone number was used so why couldn't she use my phone number for the return? She said its store policy to have the rewards card CLR all returns I said ya right and if that's the case where is it posted for everyone to have this knowledge? She said she didn't know and I said well the customer is always right so let's proceed with the return she refused. She TD me she had called her amaher and asked her if she could do the return and she said no after she asked what I looked like. I said that's discrimination I'm a triplet so what if it was one of my sisters they can't return either. It was just a big old mess all for $8.99,I ended up leaving the item there and I will never step foot in the predjudice store again. I think the bleach is getting to her brain Cuz she obviously cannot do her job.

I tried to get my money back for our family's passport photo and had the receipt and everything but they don't take it back and my lawyer doesn't need it what a f-ing waste of money.

I have a cvs brand lice treatment product bought in september. Another family member had bought it as well so I put it away. Now I want to return it with the receiept for the 20.00 I paid. The cashier says I can only get 3.99 because it's a discontinued item. Doesn't make any sense.

I tried to make a $11.00 return, the cashier would not give me cash because I used my debit card. I can not use the same debit card because I had requested a new one prior. ( due to my son getting hacked on Xbox) why isn't debit the same as cash?

I recently purchased a gallon of milk, on one day, opened it up the next day ,it was bad. You know what I mean if you ever took a big gulp of sour milk.
I had the receipt, and not being in a good mood about the taste in my mouth. I returned the product back to the store, with the receipt. I just a wanted a good gallon of milk.
I needed to show the receipt, clerk took a scan of my drivers license, plus the credit card used, and I had to sign a receipt. (I did use a credit card to make purchase.)
Seems like an invasion of my privacy, and personal information from my license, going to someplace I don't know, and no control over information taken.
Problem occurred in Key West Florida, 11-26-18. Manager very helpful, but way to much info exchanged just to replace a gallon of milk.

Not shopping here again. If you loose your receipt you are screwed. My return was declined as I had returned 2 items due to skin sensitivity. When I tried to return Burt's Bee's makeup that did not work for me rerun was declined! Called decline customer # spoke with someone from India! They said to try again after 6 months! Would not overide this decline. If show on my CVS store card my purchase! Good bye CVS!

I just hit a snag that I could not return two merlots to your store at 800 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA. There is no where in the receipt that says alcoholic products cannot be returned.

Stupid store CVS, the price is higher than other store for every brand and products. I got electronic tooth brush for $149 so expensive the price was higher than other store $50. I try to return back with original receipt, they didn't take it back. Try a different location, they asked me for ID, run my ID, and credit card and original receipt just a simple return. I didn't steal it I bought it with proof purchase, and the product is not even open, still brand new, only one day after I found out it is not the one I need, and the price is too high. I just want my money that spend on that product back, but stupid store didn't return it for me. Terrible store, suck customer services! The CVS stores should close soon if they those workers don't know how to please customers. They treat customer like a criminal, asking questions in a mean look! REALLY BAD CVS!

I absolutely hate CVS...

I brought back two items that where the wrong thing completely for my kids. I paid for it with my American express card. I know that it may have been a wait time for the return because it was a credit purchase. I was right! 3 day wait for CVS to coff up my cash to my banking institution. But wait...it has been 6 days now and I finally see the refund pending in my account. Come to find out that CVS only sent part of the money for the refund and now American express has my ENTIRE ACCOUNT FROZEN because they are waiting for CVS to send the rest of my money or deem this return a fraudulent transaction!!!!!! What that means for me is...
Yes the worse case scenario is me loosing $217.44.
Now my bank has ALL MY FUNDS in my account FROZEN for 7 days to make sure no fraud has been committed AND TODAY IS DAY #3 of the 7 days. AND IM A SINGLE MOTHER LOOKING FOR WORK!!!!!!.

W..T..F CVS!!!
W..T..F CVS!!!
W..T..F CVS!!!
W..T..F CVS!!!
I HATE THIS MFing STORE!!!!
You are so extremely wrong for doing this to me and my babies. Omg what am o going to do!!!!!

Well its me again trying to get down south to Miami. I found another 24 he CVS 45min south of where I got denied for my return. This one does returns but if its cash they won't give you cash unless the return is under $10.00 anything above that they will give u a money card..WTF??? Seriously CVS ur policies suck. Nothing but a bunch of hungry money making pill pushing punks which doesn't help anybody and especially your tainted mercury filled vaccines which only has a 10% success for what ever virus your taking a guess at. Quit lying about your 100% guaranteed satisfaction return policy because nobody here is satisfied but completely the opposite.

Its bad enough that CVS started closing their stores and not keeping them open for 24hrs like they use to. Point intended its hard to locate a 24 cvs. They are very spread apart. Long story short I purchased some items with cash. Two days later had a family emergency and needed to drive five hours down south to Miami. I didn't have the gas or the funds to fill up my tank and wasn't going to wake up any neighbors at 1am. I remembered I purchased items from CVS. I spent close to $70 on my purchase and I still had the receipt. I was going to just take back $25 worth of items that were never opened. I start on my drive to head south to Miami. The CVS that was 24hrs open is a one hour drive from my house. I get there and they tell me they don't do returns at night...Are youkidding me??? Lady said see the sign at the register..I don't give a #!!$ about your sign that doesn't do any good for the customer other than to puss him off when trying to do the return. If that's your stupid policy then u should put it on the receipt. Let your customers know this. Your open 24hrs but can't do a return. Its pure laziness. So now I have to wait in the parking lot for four hours to get my refund so I can make it down south to Jackson memorial hospital in Miami. You suck CVS. You know what's really sad is that I haven't seen one positive comment on this site. So it just tells me that you all don't care and also I believe this company is owned by our scandalous government and the FDA who is on Big Pharmas pay roll. Also Walgreens too. I honestly don't believe they are two separate companies. Two separate names but the same owners. Just like HomeGoodes,,,T.J. Max,,,Ross,,are all owned by the same owner.

The complaints on this website are funnier than the rants and raves on Facebook! I'd like to give CVS my business since they pulled cigarettes from their inventory, but after talking to a pharmacist at one of their locations, I'll never give them any of my business again. Hope the stockholders are reading these posts! Yikes!

CVS would not allow return of defective reading glasses purchased the day before even with the receipt, because we did not have the original packing with the UPC code. Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CVS is the worst company on the planet. CVS refused to return the item even with the receipt while they have no idea why they will not. At the time of purchasing I was not told that I could not return the item. Their customer service is a disgrace and bunch of idiots & unprofessional are running this company, They believe in unethical and fraud business operation while they sell the products but do not allow to return with receipt and their store management and over the phone useless customer service agents also do not have any answers. Stay from this company as they just want your money and provide terrible service.

This is the 2nd time I ordered on line from here. The first time everything was great. I received everything quickly and the order was right. This time, I ordered and 3 out of the 6 things were wrong. Now I have the hassle to return everything. Guess that tells me I won't be ordered or probably going to CVS anymore. 3 things wrong is crazy.

There is no LAW in New York State prohibiting non controlled prescriptions from being returned or refunded. It IS illegal for the pharmacy to REDISPENSE that medication to another patient. So essentially, they are lying to you because the truth, we don't want to give your money back because it would be a loss to us, isn't very satisfying to the customer. Call them on this lie and demand to speak to the Pharmacy District Manager. If need be, educate them on the illegality of citing a lie as a law in order to maintain their profits. If all else fails, report them to the state board of pharmacy. They don't play around.

I was denied a refund even though I had my receipt. I did not have the card it was charged on with me so they said they could do nothing. I had to wait for a manager and boy was she rude, I think maybe she was having a bad day. The line got long behind me because the manager took so long to get to the cashier. I guess I have no other choice but to shop elsewhere, I don't understand why you can't get a refund when you have the receipt, makes no sense.

I purchased an item online at CVS on 3/8/18 & before it arrived I was given the same item as a gift, which I began to use. When the one purchased through CVS arrived I took it back to local CVS store, unopened, along with my packing slip and was told they could not refund in the store an item purchased online. I am disabled and had to pay for an uber to get to CVS, and back home. Once I got back home I looked online for the CVS returns policy and saw that they COULD refund in the store as long as I had a receipt or packing slip. I called and told them what their online policy says. The gentleman I spoke with called his manager and he then advised me she said there'd be a way to override this in their system. He also said she'd be in at 8AM the next day and I could speak with her. I called around 10AM and she told me she hadn't had a chance to check into this and the people she needed to speak with wouldn't be in until 1PM. She also asked wsn't there an invoice or something that showed the price? I told her there was no invoice but the packing slip DOES show the price. She said well since you have nothing with the price on it she'd have to check with someone else. ?????? I said there IS a price..you asked me was there an invoice or something that showed the price and I said no invoice BUT the packing slip DOES have the price, She said they had new instructions a couple of months ago that told them an invoice with a bar code would be included in online orders to make it easier for them to i process returns. At this point I felt as though we were going in circles, I had told her more than once that there was no invoice..just the packing slip. If there should have also been an invoice in the box I don't feel it's my fault, or my responsibility if CVS failed to include one. I obviously had paid for this merchandise since they DID send it to me.) I also failed to understand why she wasn't able to speak with someone about this until after 1PM since the gentleman the day before had been able to reach her by phone within minutes of my call, advising him what the online return policy states. As we hung up, it was with the understanding that she'd "get back to me" once she had more information. Upon reflection, I felt I'd spent more than enough time on this matter and decided to "cut my losses". I called her back (Natasha is her name) and let her know not to pursue this further as I would take it up with their corporate office. I've been a CVS customer for over 20 years, with a CVS Card Card and have ordered regularly online for over two and a half years. I am very displeased with this experience and with the local CVS store. In particular, with Natasha who is supposedly the store manager. I feel her entire attitude leaves much to be desired in Customer Service,

CVS supposedly has a 100% Beauty guarantee so if you aren't happy with an opened item you can return it. I had my receipt but because I used coupons the cashier treated my refund like i didn't have my receipt and shorted my refund. I wasn't looking to make money off the return- i just wanted the amount of money i actually paid but she didn't give me my full refund. I will shop with Walmart and Target from now on because they don't judge you and they will give you your full refund.

Purchased CVS brand shoe inserts. They are still new and in the package. I have my original sales receipt. I paid $10.79 for them with a visa credit card. I went to return them with my receipt and explain to them I no longer have that credit card it was lost and canceled. Because I no longer have that original credit card they're telling me they will only refund me six dollars because they can only refund me the sale price. That makes no sense, I have my original receipt showing what I paid! The manager Rita Del Gato, was extremely rude and brushed me off. She said that Is our store policy look it up. That's ridiculous and not fair. I have proof that I paid $10 and 79 finance I have my original receipt why does the store get to keep extra money just because my credit card was stolen. I have my ID I have my receipt I want my refund! Nobody is helping me. I called the 800-number I was told I would get a call back in 48 hours that never even happened.CVS is being falsely in Riched I feel that they're stealing my money. Can you imagine how many times this happens overall how much money they're actually profiting off of us? I see this as a possible class action lawsuit. Any attorneys out there interested please call me.

I forgot to use a 10/50 cvs coupon the day before. I go today to edit my purchase and the asistant manager refused to edit my transaction. I never wanted to return the product, i just wanted them to fix my receipt and edit my transaction. It was a perfume by the way, sale is final but nowhere stated on the receipt, i wasn't even warned when i paid. The clerk was very rude to the point of yelling at me. Such harsh customer service CVS has working for them.

Before i started to buy some medicines for my family in korea, i asked the employee at the cvs that what the return policy was. I asked because i knew that i had to make some returns just in case i bought the wrong stuff. The employee told me that as long as i have the receipt within 60days, it is returnable. Believing that, i made lot of purchases with no fear. I made some couple of returns and the last return, i was declined. I was told from an employee from cvs that i have to call TRE (The Retail Equation). And they cant do anything about it. When i did call TRE, they pretty much told me i was blocked from returning due to fradulent activity. Someone need to do something about this. Nobody is helping me in CVS

While I was able to return my perfume purchase (opened, with receipt), I was told by the Bensalem, PA clerk that I was not going to be able to return a Time Inc Special magazine that I purchased yesterday, because "once books leave the store, I don't think we can return it." I have the receipt, but because I have a migraine from the perfume, I didn't feel like asking for a manager, especially since I waited 5 minutes at the front of the store waiting for this clerk.

Bought expired CVS Abound Mac and cheese. They were on clearance half off. I called the store when I got home, The assistant manager said I could get a refund with receipt, but because the 3rd one is opened (it smells and tastes gross) she refused to refund it. I know it's less than $2 but it's the principle. And CVS has a 100% guarantee on top of that. What should I do?

I tried to return the CVS brand children's allergy relief medicine but was denied by the local store manager because I did not have a receipt. I was told I his was a corporate policy. I called corporate and they said they would take it bake but it was up to me he store manager and the third party administrator. I walked back into the stores and told the person from corporate to speak to the store manager and they both said they would not speak to each other.

Corporate said it hey would have a district manager call me within 48 business hours. We can take things back without a receipt to all the other place so why wouldn't I take my business elsewhere. My grandson has autism and did not like the taste of the medicine.

Pharmacist would not replace a non functioning inhaler stating "we will contact the manufacturer and see if they will replace it. It should not take more than 2 weeks"

I have COPD and chronic bronchitis and need my inhalers. I got this inhaler from CVS from a prescription. They sold it to me not the ProAir company!! They should replace the defective inhaler THEY SOLD ME and deal with the ProAir company themselves since that is where they purchased it.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and try to avoid stress whenever possible since it can trigger an attack. I jst left the pharmacy and avoided arguing with the pharmacist. I am just waiting until my attorney comes home from vacation and will let him deal with this. This was store 9299

I am a pharmacy tech at CVS and it is a law that if you take a prescription out the door we cannot take it back and cannot give you a refund therefore if you have a question about the price you should question it before you take it out of the store we cannot change a law.

As long as the receipt is dated and the meds are not open they can make the insurance adj, talk to the district RX manager and explain it, then call corporate, u should have no prob after that.

CVs/Walgreens can find ur receipt in their systems after 11 to 14 days after date of purchase, all u have to do is ask. But some managers don't even know that.

I just tried to return an unopened Waterpik to the CVS I bought it from and because I did not have the receipt was denied any kind of refund including a store credit. It states that manager approval but I did not even have enough to you to talk to a manager. In fact, the cashier told me that there were no refunds without a receipt no exceptions. I bought this for my husband who just went through tongue cancer treatment thinking that it would be easier on his gums and his tongue and his teeth but was told actually by the oncologist that was not the best choice. I've been shopping at CVS for a long time and have had a care card for a long time and found it very disheartening that they would not even give me a store credit for an unopened item.

Sent my husband to pick up my son's cingular script. He comes home and says hey do you normally pay 147.99 for his medicine? And of course I told him absolutely not its normally $12 and told him to take it back and make sure they filed our insurance. He takes it back and they said they did not file insurance and so he asked them too and they told him as of Jan. 1st they no longer take BCBS so he asked to return them and they said no because it had left the building. He came back home and I asked him if they asked him about filing his insurance we he originally picked up and he said no he didn't ask me anything. Everytime I picked up in the past they verify my insurance but this time of course they didn't because they are trying to manipulate people now that they no longer take BCBS. Not a happy customer.

Employees do not know about their own services and policies?? It is unsettling! Causes an aggravating issue to the customer as a result. I will not use those services anymore because of it.

Both issues:

Curbside pickup order one time recently and another time after this was me trying to make a return of an item from an online CVS.com order I had shipped to my home.

I went to CVS today in Ansonia, CT to buy some pads for my wife. They didn't have the brand name in stock so I picked up the CVS brand which my wife didn't like so I went back to the 24 hours store after the gym and they told me that they don't do returns after 10pm and I would have to come back in the morning. I said that is ridiculous since they are a 24 hour store and the manager on duty told me to talk to the store manager since it's his policy. She then told me that they're not going to return the pads anyways since we opened the package which made me even more furious. The packaging says "100% money back guarantee" and the return policy states that I can return it even though it's open. I'm going to call the corporate office and the store manager tomorrow to complain. What's the point of upsetting a customer over a $7 item?

To SadCVSEmployee: Not all CVS stores/employees are idiots like the one you dealt with. I have found that the CVS near me has no problems with me returning items that I bought using my father's credit card. (he currently isn't driving due to medical issues). Someone suggested callling the CVS Customer Service 800 number, that sounds great, but I would take it one step further: call from the store, explain the situation, and have the Customer service rep talk to the employee. I can't see how the employee would not be able to take the return once CS at headquarters tells them to do it. I had an employee at the local CVS make an exception to their "sale rules" to give me a 1/2 price deal on something that was "buy one get one free" but I only wanted one! He said "Happy customers are the reason that I like workinghere, so I do everything that I can to keep them happy". I wrote to corporate telling what a great employee tht had and to be sure not to lose him.

I know this response is late, but as I said, you just need to find the right person to get the right service.

If you have a problem with CVS, DO NOT ACCEPT the decision of some clerk-jerk or dumb manager! The company is very customer oriented if you get past the local jerks. If they give you a problem tell them you're going to report them at 1-800-shop-CVS. Complaints about employees are taken very seriously. If the employee was rude, tell them. People at the Rhode Island headquarters are very responsible and professional. Don't hesitate to call 1-800-shop-CVS!

Their Policy is that if you have a receipt, you can return almost anything within 60 days, except prescriptions and some home health items. Here's a trick: if you have a defective item over 60 days, and it has not changed, buy a new one and return the bad one with the recent receipt. You may be stuck with the item, but at least it will be a working one.

Some of the stories here reported are by people who should've stood up for themselves. CVS is in business to serve its customers. It is well known that they treat their customers much better than their employees. Sometimes employees are treated poorly and they take it out on customers. Your job as a customer is not to accept inferior or poor service!

If a manager is unjust to you, ask for the name and phone number of the district manager. Write down the name of any employee Who treats you poorly.

A couple of days ago I tried to return a charger to CVS because it didn't work. I had the receipt and the credit card that was used for the purchase. I was trying to do a favor for my boyfriend's mother who is in the hospital and tried to explain to the cashier that she couldn't return it herself. As a CVS employee, I know the policy is you can return items with a receipt to any CVS location. She gave me attitude because it was purchased at a different CVS. She then tried to I.D. me when I had already told her from the start the situation and why my boyfriend's mother could not make the return herself, and that my last name will not match her credit card. The policy is that you are only supposed to I.D. the person if they do not have the receipt (why would someone with a stolen credit card try to return something anyways). Either way, she called her manager and rudely said "yea she's getting angry" when I was not, and hung up the phone and said, "absolutely not", as if I was doing something wrong. I asked to speak with the manager and she goes "no, why do you need to speak to the manager the answer is no." She was so rude to me that I started to tear up and when I tried to explain to the manager the situation, she said no the person in the hospital has to make the return. I then asked if my boyfriend could make the return since they have the same last name which she replies, "no because they don't have the same first name." I have never been treated so poorly by both an employee and manager and they clearly don't know the policy. I went to a different CVS later that day to try my luck since I know you are not supposed to be rejected when you have the receipt. I had no problem and no questions were asked. I just can't believe how rude this manager and employee was and I will never go back to that CVS. They literally treated me like I was trying to pull something over on them. I was just trying to do someone a favor and I am so embarrassed that they made me cry.

I did a return on June 19, 2016 at 6:14pm. It was due to go back on my debit card. It is now July 11, 2016 3:45, and there is still no credit issues. I've called customer service twice with no answers as to where my money is at.

Next time, I will DEMAND a Cash refund, because this is ridiculous.

CVS is ripping people off with their prices and policies. The attendants aren't getting paid much, so they really don't care about how long the lines are. I personally think they're on some kinda hallucinogen that makes them work in slow motion. I hate every time I have need to go to a CVS. My last experience, I needed use the MoneyGram feature. I asked the teller about it and she gave me Money Orders instead. Then said she could not redeem them back. I'm stuck with a 4 money orders that I cant use. Tried going to a check cashing place, they wanted to charge me 8% on every 100.00. Its always something with these idiots tryin to rip you off. We the customers allow this by continuing to patronize this chain of crooks.

I bought a bottle of red wine priced at $12.99 today, a brand I was familiar with. When I got it home I found it had spoiled, so I called the store first to see if I could bring back the full (but opened) bottle and exchange it for one that is not spoiled. After waiting on hold, I was told that the policy is not to accept returns in this case because I had "opened the bottle after I had left the store". Well, I didn't know I could open the bottle in the store and sample it!! Did you know this? I must try this next time!
ANyway, I am pouring it out, a waste of nine dollars (ok, it was on sale). It really smelled bad, like rubbing alcohol. I have been a steady customer at this location for two years now. Really, you can't drink spoiled wine. I know this because I am an alcoholic and I buy four bottles of wine per week, usually in the $9-12 range. CVS is two blocks from my apartment. I go there every three days for groceries and household items. But I've learned my lesson about returning bad wine. I don't think it's fair however.

Bought a CVS brand humidifier after an operation. It never worked properly. The receipt was lost. I showed a credit card receipt with a date of the sale and an item # they could have looked up 16 days after the date of the sale. After I asked to return the defective product for store credit, NOPE, no further discussion. I have been a customer for over 20 years.....NO LONGER!

I had passport photos taken there and they were rejected so I had to go get them done somewhere else

I purchased a CVS brand facial electrical brush (bateriy operated) and it worked great for 3-4 months then stopped.
I thought it would need new batteries and replaced them. Nothing!
It seems that the problem is with the on/off button, it won't activate anymore.
I have receipt and am trying to return it to a different store as I moved out from the city I was living when I purchased it.
So far, no luck. I was told only the manager can deal with my return and manager is never there.
I'll keep trying.
But seriously?! You buy a CVS brand item to last only a few months?!?! Not reliable!

I have been a long time customer of CVS. I am surprised that the pharmacist at the front desk refused to accept my return and refund me while I carried my receipt and all other documents to support my claim. The employee was rude with a bizzare attitude. According the instructions, the product in question is dangerous; I am not going to use it.

I bought a PlayStation network card for $20 and I purchased it through the machine. I then went home to redeem it and it wouldn't work. I called the pharmacy asking if I could get a refund and they said yes. I then went the next day and they said it was non-refundable. They said I could call the customer service, but they said they were closed. Biggest ripoff ever. Never going to trust them again. I am switching to rite aid.

I tried to get help with a faulty asthma inhaler and was told they could not do anything to help and that I would have to call the manufacturer. The pharmacist was seemingly unconcerned with leaving me with a non working inhaler during a dust storm.

Purchased the CVS brand of liquid drain opener (similar to Drano), but it doesn't work at all. Followed the directions, let the liquid stay in the drain overnight (for tougher clogs and slow drains) and flushed with hot water the next morning, and it was still a slow drain. So I repeated per their instructions, and still nothing. I've used other non-Drano brands and have never had a problem. This product called "Total Home" is totally useless. Ended up buying Drano and worked like a charm! Do not buy CVS brand of liquid drain opener.

I had 3 Prescriptions ordered for me and I didn't pick them up that day because they didn't have them ready for me. So I had my wife go pick them up for me the next day. The one was nasonex cost $97!!!! I saw it when i got home from work and said OMG thats a lot of money didn't open the box nor did I open the nasonex and my doctor told me i can return it if it was too much money. So I go and try to get a refund and they tell me I can't because it's against the law. The Box is not open and the Nasonex was not opened. Hey CVS their are certain thing that people can't use or it cost too much money and you don't want to give people there money back! You really stink and you rob people blind!!! So what the heck am I going to do with a $97 box of Nasonex that i'm not going to use at all. Hey CVS can you tell me what to do with the $97 box of Nasonex!!!

I tried returning a cvs brand product to the Nanticoke CVS and received nothing but harassment. I had purchased the wrong product for my niece and was buying the correct brand name product. The employee also the night manager was rude and nasty as usual. I ended up having to purchase the correct product and keep the item I was trying to return. Keep in mind I had the unopened product, the correct reciept and it was within the correct return time frame. Although it was a convenient store to shop at, I can purchase the products I need at other stores such as Walgreens, Target and Walmart, to name a few. I also get treated with respect and great customer service at these other stores. From now on I will make the additional travel to the lower cost stores with better customer service.

Long time customer no more. I tried to return an opened item that I had received for Christmas that was a duplicate of a product I already own. was told before I even finished my sentence that nothing can be returned without a receipt. I frequently purchase from this CVS location but will not return if they cannot at least make an attempt to work with good customers

I tried to return an unopened wet jet mop today at CVS in Martinez, CA & cannot believe that because I didn't have my receipt, the manager would only give me half the amount I paid for it before taxes!! Hey! No way, I'm a good customer, I've spent over $300 at that store & im not getting back half of what I paid ($30) so I left w/ mop cause Mgr. was on phone so I didn't get to talk to him! last time I shopped in there I had a question about a candle I previously purchased so I brought one to counter just like it. After discussion was done & I leave store, cashier had put the candle in my bag!! So I went back in & gave it back to her & she was very grateful & acted surprised; it was a big candle & not cheap. So if I can be fair & honest with them, that's exactly what I expect in return, not to be SCREWED BY THEM!!

My daughter was prescribed some topical acne ointment. As soon as she read the literature that accompanied the prescription she realized she could not use it. The tube is not opened; the box is not opened. But CVS maintains they cannot return it. The tube of ointment cost $177.00! Really?

As a long time customer I was suprised to learn that when trying to return my digital thermometer without a receipt and thinking I was getting store credit after speaking to a manager before I came only to learn when I got there that of and item is over twenty dollar and you don't have a reciept you are stuck no credit no nothing. DON'T LOSE THOSE RECEIPTS AND IF A GIFT MAKE SURE YOU GET THAT RECIEPT FROM YOUR GIFT GIVER THANKS ALOT CVS

You just lost a longtime customer due to the insanity of your return policy and manager; at your Westwood Blvd store (and Wilshire), I asked for a credit for an opened CVS product, which you have a guarantee of satisfaction on. She insisted, because it was a gift and I didn't have a receipt, I would have to provide a California driver's license or Passport to make the exchange. Are you kidding? You also want my thumbprint perhaps to exchange an under 5.00 product? I shop there all of the time; she didn't care. I urgently needed another similar product. when will this big brother State end? You're CVS, not a high security government department. I don't usually carry around my passport as a free US citizen; and I don't hold a California license. I'm still trying to make the exchange somewhere.

The worst experiment I ever had with CVS in Sterling Heights , MI ,I asked to return unopened MUCINEX D but the pharmacist refuse to return it and I talked to the manager goes to me like "THOSE KIND OF ITEMS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE" I purchase the item for $18.86 and some where else is for $10 ..

My Father purchased Munciex D from the pharmacy of the CVS in Dolton, IL on Chicago Rd and 147th for me but took it back for a refund the next day due to I didn't need I ended up going to the doctor and had prescription drugs. Anyway the pharmacist refuse to refund the product excuse was is a narcotic and by law they can't refund, however the product wasn't open and he had his original receipt, lastly only 1 day had past. According to the return policy posted online all the refund requirements were met, yet no refund was given and the Mucinex isn't cheap, it was $31.

After visiting 2 CVS stores in 2 different cities searching for CVS brand maximum strength probiotics. I was very upset to find they were expired at both stores. I cannot image why a drug store as big as CVS would not pay close attention to something as important as this. This is unacceptable on every level!!

My husband purchased three items on his credit card and I went to return these items with the original receipt however I do not have his credit card with me. I understood that because I did not have the credit card with me I cannot receive the credit back to my credit card however I asked for credit to the store. Because she proceeded to tell me that they could not do that and called over the manager and manager gave me an extremely hard time and I had to argue with him for a good five minutes in order to get store credit. I called the customer service line and explain the situation and they said that returns in this form are up to the discretion of the manager. So what happens if a credit card got stolen and you have to cancel your credit card due to it being compromised days after you make a purchase at CVS are you stuck with not being able to make a return? Or will they just give you the lowest price on an item and even though you have the original receipt and is within 30 days? Leaving it up to the discretion of the manager I believe is truly a mistake there should be a defined policy for a return because if it he manager is having a bad day and decides he/she does not want to make that exchange for you then you are out of luck. I truly expected more from CVS.

Shift Manager "Carmen" of Store #5855 located at Chestnut Ave. and Main Rd., Vineland, NJ, refused to return items previously purchased at her store. Furthermore, she called the police to have them request that my elderly mother and I "leave the premises," for insisting that she contact her store manager and return the items being presented to her.
She hid in the back room away from the event while the officers and the nice gentlemen "William" at the register discussed the situation with us and what further action/options were available to us.
An extremely cowardly, unprofessional and offensive act on the behalf of "Ms. Carmen."
I am currently in the process of contacting the Customer Service Department for CVS at 888-607-4287 (M-F 8:30 to 7 pm EST) for further assistance on the matter. Further litigation against "Carmen" and the CVS cooperation for violating our consumer rights under the Consumer Credit Act is also being discussed. Completely disgusted with this store's behavior.

I hurt my back at work about 2 months ago. I have been getting nothing but the runaround from my employer or from the injury insurance company. It's been so stressful with all the paperwork, lies by insurance co, and losing money every week I was off. I'm back at work because I have to feed myself. After dealing with so many inept people regarding my injury I was so happy that CVS game me a full refund on items I bought to help my back. They did not work, but since Texas insurance for workers is the worst in the nation I decided to get the help I needed myself. The insurance co. and my employer have no clue how their own system and the state's work for injured. I've had issues with the pharmacy in the past, but I want to give credit due to a good employee who was sincere and didn't make me feel like I was scammer. I love working and am back to it, but thinks to getting my refund on my CVS return I have gained some trust back that good people still can be found.

Here is what was given me as a fix for my defective inhaler.(no gas charge in it) I was given the phone number for the manufacturer and told "call them and they will probably want you to mail them the inhaler . I think they may either send you a replacement of a slip for another one. My response was "Maybe you could just swap with me for a new one and you give the bad one to factory rep and I go away happy" I have no leverage with someone at a drug manufacturer who could care less about my problem. NOT A GOOD WAY FOR CVS TO HANDLE THE PROBLEM AT ALL.SIMPLE SOLUTION IS AN OLD RULE # 1 "CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT" NICE THING IS EVERYBODY TAKES MY MEDICARE CARD!!!!I no longer need to go to CVS And Wont as soon as my scripts are finished

I bought an expensive medicine that had a tamper-proof bottle from CVS. The next day the doctor said we didn't need it. I had a receipt that said "returns excepted with receipt". The pharmacist refused to take it anyway. She was very rude, and sounded like a broken record/robot repeating the same thing over and over, and slammed the pharmacy window closed.

On another occasion the pharmacy manager told me they would take it back, it the tamper proof bottle seal had not been unopened. I asked them how they can verbally change their policy, and that they need to follow their written policy that is on their receipt.

They were very rude. I called their corporate office, and they understood the problem, and then I called my bank to dispute the transaction.

After having such a terrible experience from meds purchased at CVS Pharmacy .. I took to researching this Teva manufacturer and was confronted with so much negative reports as "Teva's generics are poorly produced in third-world countries and are not the same as their brand-name equivalents. While the main chemical components of their drugs are technically the same, or bio-equivalent (according to the FDA), as the main chemical compound of the name-brand, it is the low-quality precursor chemicals, inferior manufacturing facilities and lack of production oversight that is causing adverse and harmful reactions in consumers that have begun taking generics produced under the Teva Umbrella."

I really want to believe that CVS is unaware of these such revealing reports ... rather than believe that these cheaper brand, lower quality and life threatening meds are prejudicially reserved for the Medicaid recipient, the poor and the elderly ... I don't want to believe that the hearts of CVS could be so cruel to humanity ...

In good management, I often monitor my blood pressure ... and as usual before taking a new refill prescription I also take my blood pressure just before and within an hour after taking my first dose ..

And after taking my first dose of "lot 1308T06 RX # 606246 .. within the hour my blood pressure shot up to 220/120 ... and remained dangerously elevated until I took a previous Diltiazem 180mg of another manufacturer ... which then dropped down to 201/101 .. and further dropped to a safe level through the night ..

It was on 1-10-14, as written by prescription ... I received two bottles of a 90 count TEVA brand Diltiazem ER 180 mg ... my insurance paid for 60 and I paid for the remainder 120 ...

Nevertheless ... more importantly now is rectifying this life threatening health situation ... I can't afford such a financial lost and I don't want to continue to suffer due to a bad batch of medicines ...

And I'm asking that my bad medicine be replaced with a quality manufacturer like Actavis

Judgment is at the door, "as ye have done it unto one of the least, ye have done it unto me" says the King of Kings and Lord of Lords

... my husband was in my van still in a hospital gown heading home and in pain. They sent us to a 24 hour CVS instead who were out of Percocet. I had to give my husband some of my old pain medicine to get him through the night. Horrible service and no caring from the CVS pharmacy. We are regular customers and also fill my moms 8 meds there too. I returned to speak with the manager of the pharmacy the next day and he also showed a total lack of interest with my complaint. Go anywhere but CVS if you need a script!!
